Evening primrose

Evening primrose oil is obtained from the seeds of the Oenothera Biennis plant by cold extraction. It contains linoleic acid and gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), essential fatty acids that belong to the omega-6 series and are important components for the elasticity and integrity of cell membranes.

Chamomile

Chamomile has good anti-inflammatory properties thanks to the protective effect on the mucous membranes provided by the mucilage and the components of its essential oil (azulene and alpha-bisabolol). It is an emollient, decongestant, softening and soothing remedy, ideal for all types of irritations of external and internal tissues: dermatitis, wounds, ulcers, conjunctivitis, colds, irritations of the oral cavity, gingivitis and inflammation of the urogenital area.

Calendula

Calendula extract has a calming and anti-inflammatory effect. The flavonoids contained in Calendula extract support the skin cells in healing skin injuries by stimulating their healing activity and elasticity.

How to use

Clean the desired area thoroughly, spread the Soothing Ointment and massage it in gently until it is completely absorbed. Do not apply the ointment directly to the injured area, but massage it in to pamper and soothe it. It can also be applied several times a day as required.

The vet's advice

Dermatitis is a fairly common problem in horses, especially the form of summer dermatitis caused by insect bites (black flies). The Soothing Ointment helps to relieve the itching and regrow the horse's hair and mane. The combined action of Evening Primrose oil, Linseed oil, Rosehip and plant extracts of witch Hazel and Chamomile combined with essential oils of Lemon, Tea tree and Frankincense, give this ointment excellent soothing properties. It protects the skin, makes it elastic and forms a barrier against insect infestation, the main cause of summer dermatitis in horses, and soothes inflammation and rubbing in areas with severe itching such as under the belly, on the chest, mane, back, around the tail and on the legs.

How many times a day should I apply the ointment to achieve effective results?

The ointment can be applied several times a day, gently massaging the affected area until it is completely absorbed. Repeat the process until the symptoms visibly improve.
